CPSCS Connect: Bringing 47 Years of Cantonment Public School & College, Saidpur Online

On 4 April 1979 a school opened inside Saidpur Cantonment with 5 teachers and 176 students. Today Cantonment Public School & College, Saidpur (CPSCS) has about 4,400 students from Nursery to Class XII, 146 faculty members and 106 staff. It runs Bangla and English versions, has a college section, and has a list of achievements that stretches back decades.

Very little of that story was easy to find in one place. It lived in old files, framed photographs, the memories of former teachers and alumni scattered across the world. CPSCS asked us to change that, and the result is CPSCS Connect.

What is CPSCS Connect?

It's a heritage and community website for the institution. It's built for three groups: current students and parents, former students, and anyone who wants to understand what this school is and where it came from.

What's on the site?

  • Living Heritage Timeline (1979–2026): the school's milestones on record, from its founding under Colonel S. M. Shamsuzzaman to the present, laid out year by year
  • Interactive master plan: every building, laboratory, hostel and ground on the campus; pick a location to see what it is
  • Campus tour: walk the grounds through the eyes of the school's prefects
  • Wall of Achievements: from the Sena Prodhan Trophy, won twice for the best HSC results among cantonment institutions, to the British Council International School Award in 2019 and national olympiad results
  • Ex-student world map: where CPSCS alumni live and work, which fills in as former students register
  • Officers' Roll: alumni who went on to serve in the Army, Navy and Air Force, along with the cadet academy entrants
  • School at a glance: facts, figures, leadership messages and the information parents look for first

Why does a school need a heritage website?

A notice-board website tells you the admission date. A heritage website tells you why it's worth applying.

For a current student, seeing the Officers' Roll or the olympiad medals shows that people from this exact campus have gone very far. For former students, the world map is how they find their batch again, sometimes after 20 or 30 years. For the school, it turns a history that lived in cupboards into something it can share with every visitor, parent and partner.

How did we build it?

Slowly and carefully, because history is easy to get wrong. Dates, names and ranks were checked before they went up, and the campus map was drawn from the real layout of the grounds. The site is fast on a phone, because most parents and alumni will open it from a shared link on their phones.

CPSCS also uses Autoroutine, our system that builds the school's year-long class routine and assigns substitute teachers automatically. One institution now has two very different pieces of software from the same local team.

Can other schools and colleges get a site like this?

Yes. Any institution with a history worth telling and alumni worth reconnecting can have a timeline, an achievements wall, an alumni map and an interactive campus. We've also built alumni networks for other institutions, which you'll find in our portfolio.

We're a software company based in Saidpur. If your school or college has a story to tell, let's talk.
